KUCHING: Continuous heavy rainfall has triggered a landslide in Kampung Semeba today (Feb 16).

A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said that firemen from the Batu Lintang fire station rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call around 9 am.

It was reported that the landslide had cut off road connectivity along Semeba’s alternative road and Haji Baki road.

Upon arrival, the firemen confirmed that the landslide was due to the heavy downpour.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Bomba said that the current conditions have halted vehicles from passing through.
