MIRI: Less than two weeks after an alleged robbery at a 24-hour convenience store in Pujut here, police yesterday detained two suspects in connection to the case.

The duos, which are in their early 30s, were picked up from two separate locations — one at a hotel in the city centre, and the other by the roadside of Jalan Lampan.

Miri police Chief ACP Lim Meng Seah revealed that the 1am arrest was led by Inspector Fredly Juing.

Both suspects are currently under police custody for questioning.

The alleged robbery occurred on December 2. The case is being investigated under Section 395 for gang robbery.
