KUCHING: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah will be going on a road trip along the Pan Borneo Highway from September 3 to 13.
They will begin the trip in Tawau, Sabah, and conclude it in Kuching, Sarawak.
As part of this event, Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas visited the Mid-Layar Rest and Service Area (RSA) in Betong yesterday.
Uggah said the RSA might be used as a stopover during the ‘Kembara Borneo Dirgahayu Tuanku’ programme on September 12. It is currently being renovated, and is expected to be completed soon.
