KUCHING: The Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects being carried out in Pantai Damai constituency have been completed according to schedule, said its assemblyman Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.

The projects include the construction of drains in Kampung Telaga Air, construction of a village road in Kampung Nyabut, construction of a chapel in Kampung Sungai Agas, construction of a roof for the sepak takraw court and drains at Kampung Bintawa Batu, upgrading of the surau in Taman Puteri as well as construction of a bridge at Kampung Buntal.

According to Dr Abdul Rahman, who is also Assistant Minister of Utilities (Water Supply), all these projects went smoothly as a result of close cooperation between the implementing agencies, the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) and contractors.

“The RTP was first introduced by the late Chief Minister Pehin Sri Adenan Satem in 2015 as part of the Sarawak government’s effort to provide facilities that will have a profound impact on the people.
