MUKAH: Projects under the rural transformation programme (RTP) worth RM600,000 here which had been completed last year were handed over to the respective beneficiaries on Monday (Jan 25).
The projects involved are upgrading of a road in front of Rumah Andrea Beda costing RM50,000; upgrading of Rumah Wakaf at Kampung Tellian Daya (Tellian Ulu) worth RM200,000; a through road to a multi-purpose hall at Kampung Seri Tellian (Tellian Tengah) valued at RM100,000 and a roof for a futsal court at Kampung Kuala Lama Resettlement Scheme (RM250,000).
Contractors for the projects handed over the documents to representatives of the projects’ recipients in a simple handover ceremony at the respective locations.
Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo witnessed the event, which was also attended by Mukah Division Public Works Department civil engineer Nurul Lisa Raduan and assistant engineer Mohammad Nazreen Jamal as well as Tellian constituency Service Centre special officer Felix Pieng.
