KUCHING: The Old Josephians Association (OJA) Kuching will be organising its third consecutive Ora Et Labora Run themed ‘Save Mill Hill’ on July 27.

As before, the run will start at SMK St Joseph at 6am.

The run aims to raise funds for the restoration of the Mill Hill block.

Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian, who is the OJA president said: “This year, we hope to raise RM100,000.

“An estimated RM3.7 million is expected to complete restoration works to enable the use of classrooms for lessons. At present the two front blocks are out of bounds as they are deemed unsafe.

“Prior to this, funds raised from annual dinners and contributions by former students totalling RM620,000 will be channelled into the Mill Hill Block Restoration Fund.”

However, SK Joseph (primary school) will cease to be after 2020 because all its  facilities will be taken over by Joseph’s Private School completely in 2021.
