SABATI chairperson extends aid to fire victims

KUCHING: The Association of Wives of Ministers and Assistant Ministers of Sarawak (SABATI) chairperson Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang, extended her compassion to four families affected by a fire incident at the Batu Kawah People’s Housing Scheme (RPR).

This heartfelt gesture took place at the RPR Batu Kawah Hall today.

Juma’ani, who is also the wife of the Premier, had the opportunity to provide monetary assistance and food to the fire victims and spent time chatting with them.

Following this, Juma’ani visited the homes of those affected by the fire incident that occurred last Aug 28.

In this unfortunate incident, five houses were engulfed by flames, leading to two of the affected families being temporarily accommodated at the Batu Kawah People’s Housing Scheme Hall.

It is understood that the fire victims also received contributions in the form of dry rations and used clothing from the residents of Kampung Gita.

The event was attended by the Deputy Premier cum Batu Kawah assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, and his wife, Datin Sri Enn Ong Siok Ean, as well as chairman of the Padawan Municipal Council Tan Kai, and others.
