KUCHING: Sarawak National Youth Organisation (SABERKAS) is running a number of programmes in line with its Golden Jubilee celebrations this year.

One of the events is the SABERKAS Blood Donation Campaign, which took place yesterday at Mile 6 Farley Supermarket.

Its vice president, Abang Abdul Aziz Datuk Abang Abdul Rauf, stated that the goal of this blood donation campaign was to create awareness about the benefits of donating blood and to instil compassion for those in need.

“This time, SABERKAS collaborated with three organisations, namely the Malaysian Red Crescent Society, Sarawak General Hospital, and Farley Kuching.

“SABERKAS will continue to play a role as a pioneer of the main organisation in intensifying activities engaging youth and the community,” he stated during a news conference after officiating at the event.

The campaign, which began at 11 am, aimed to draw up to 100 donors.

Furthermore, the press release stated that the year 2023 is significant for SABERKAS because it marks the organisation’s 50th anniversary.
