MUKAH: Members of Saberkas Tellian branch distributed a total of 1,000 packets of bubur lambuk to mosques and surau here on Friday (May 7).
The event was organised by Saberkas Tellian in collaboration with Mukah Parliament Youth Organisation and Mukah District Anti-drug Squad.
Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo said the contribution of bubur lambuk was the first activity organised by Saberkas Tellian during this fasting month, since its inception in August last year.
He added that the event was also to promote Saberkas Tellian branch, because the organisation here was under Balingian branch.
“I hope Saberkas Tellian will continue to organise charity activities like this in future,” he said when officiating at the handover of bubur lambuk at Masjid Setia Raja (MSR) here.
The assemblyman added there was also a need to introduce and promote Saberkas Tellian so that more people would know, since it was still new.
In another development, the Saberkas Tellian branch chairman revealed that some of the senior citizens here had been given the Covid-19 vaccine and the process was smooth so far, and hopefully this would continue.
