KUCHING: Renowned local singer-actor, Safar Ghaffar is on his way to make one of the biggest musical comeback of his career.

Known for his hits such as “Ros Kalas” and “Mun Masih Mudak”, he stated that he is in the process of working hard for his upcoming two new song titled “Memories” and “Joget Jaga Sarawak Pesan Tok Nan”.

Asked on how he feels to be making such a big musical comeback, he said he was thrilled.

“I am very excited to be given a chance to prove to the people, that a seasoned veteran like me still got it.

“And I am also very blessed because I am getting booked for various shows and performances, especially at TVS and RTM,” he said when interviewed by reporters at his residence in Petra Jaya on Wednesday (March 14).

He revealed that the inspiration for his new song “Joget Jaga Sarawak Pesan Tok Nan”, came from the time the late Premier of Sarawak, Pehin Sri Adenan Satem said to his fellow Sarawakians to continue to take care of Sarawak.

“His advice came before his passing, and that is why I decided to produce it (the song) because it represents our state and the beauty of its people,” he said.

Meanwhile, “Memories” was inspired by the time people spent their Hari Raya away from their families.

“From the lyrics itself, you can understand that it is about spending Hari Raya alone away from your families, all by yourself.

“I think those who will listen to the song, you will feel sad by it, as it is also a song about the struggles of our parents, working hard for their children to live a better life,” he said.

Ghafar hopes that people will love his two new songs, which is slated to be released soon.

And his message to his fans and listeners; “Whenever, and wherever you hear my new songs, I hope you love it and I hope you continue to support me,” he said.
