Sagah leads visit to Malaysian Innovation Foundation

KUCHING: The Ministry of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development has paid a working visit to the Malaysian Innovation Foundation (YIM), Kuala Lumpur.

The visit was held on Sept 12 and led by the Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Roland Sagah

“The purpose of the visit was to enlighten the Ministry on the initiatives and programmes conducted by the foundation apart from the financial assistance available and also to explore possibilities on areas of collaboration for innovation programmes for the young innovators and entrepreneurs,” said Sagah.

Upon arrival, the delegates were greeted by the CEO of Malaysian Innovation Foundation Sharmila Mohamed Salleh and secretary for Strategic Planning Division Ruziah Shafie; MOSTI chief operation officer Mohd Rozaidi Abdul Rahman and senior officers from the Foundation.

Sagah and his entourage were briefed on the organisation’s background, social innovations, successful projects and financial assistance by Sharmila and followed by discussions.

After the briefing, the entourage was shown mini exhibits of grassroot innovations and was briefed by the project owner on their products and exhibits.
