SAINS partners with Ant Group Digital Technologies to explore mobile government development

KUCHING: Sarawak Information Systems (SAINS) has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ant Group Digital Technologies to collaborate on the development of mobile government solutions, leveraging innovative technologies from Ant Group Digital Technologies. 

According to a statement, the collaboration aims to explore the adoption of advanced technical solutions, including mPaaS, a mobile development platform, and ZOLOZ eKYC, an AI-powered digital identity verification solution.

“SAINS plans to adopt solutions that meet its business objectives which include improving the development efficiency, bringing more advanced features, and helping enhance the stability, trustworthiness and quality of mobile services.

“SAINS has developed many applications for its customers over the years since its founding. Among them, Mobile Government is one of the key solutions for SAINS in helping the Sarawak Government achieve its Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 and Sarawak Digital Economy Blueprint 2030. 

“As 100 per cent end-to-end government services will be delivered by 2030, digital identity verification solutions will be key to ensure that the digital transactions can take place securely.”

SAINS CEO Busiai Seman expressed gratitude for the collaboration. “We look forward to the collaboration with technology partners such as Ant Group Digital Technologies as they are able to provide the knowledge and expertise in the areas of mobile government and identity verification technologies to help SAINS meet its customers’ requirements,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ant Group Digital Technologies CEO Geoff Jiang said: “We are excited to partner with leading innovators like SAINS to help accelerate the digital transformation and digital collaboration across industries such as public services.”

“We are also confident that this collaboration will drive innovation, efficiency and trust in Malaysia,” he added.
