The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said Bukit Mabong District, on the other hand, had gone from orange to yellow after recording 19 local infection cases in the last 14 days.

“Tatau District has changed to yellow after recording one new local infection case,” they said in a statement today (Mar 6).

They said the districts of Selangau, Betong, Meradong, Kuching, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri, and Sibu remained red with a total of 2,712 local infection cases reported within the last fortnight.

“Kanowit, Sarikei, Serian, Julau, Subis, Bau, Dalat dan Sri Aman Districts remain orange with a total of 224 local infection cases reported in the last 14 days,” they said.

The committee said the districts of Marudi, Mukah, Pusa, Song, Asajaya, Beluru, Saratok, and Sebauh retained their yellow status with a total of 59 local infection cases recorded in the last 14 days.

On the Covid-19 vaccination status, they said as of Friday (Mar 5), 12,961 persons had been inoculated with the vaccine since the start of the state’s immunisation programme on Feb 26.

They said 2,372 active cases were still being isolated and treated at PKRCs and hospital wards in the state.

“Today, 225 new person-under-investigation (PUI) cases were reported and four PUIs are still awaiting laboratory test results,” said the committee.
