Sanjay Bana and Paul Tuah shine in blowpipe competition

SIBU: Sanjay Bana and Paul Tuah emerged champion in the men’s doubles category for the blowpipe competition held in conjunction with the Borneo Dayak Cultural Festival (BDCF) Sibu 2017 held at Sibu Town Square here yesterday.

They score 1,240 points and beat their rivals, Mingat Bakil and John Osman, who came in second with 1,210 points.

Third place for the men’s doubles category went to Sirai Sanggin and James Lima.

For the women’s doubles category, first place was won by Lizawati Abdullah and Ellyne Tong Siew Hua with 1,090 points while second place went to Nurul Pasihah and Venissa Ugun with 860 points.

Third place for the women’s doubles category was won by Jessie Hillary Chukan and Lansie Anyut. They scored 830 points.

Meanwhile, Paul Tuah won the first place for the men’s professional category.

He scored 1,440 points. John Osman was in second place with 1,290 points and Sirai Sanggin in third place with 1,260 points.

For the men’s amateur category, Sirai Sangin won with a score of 1,470 points with Lienus Endam in second place (1,370 points) and James Lima in third position with 1,340 points.

Imbau Leyo won the women’s professional category.

She scored 1,460 points while second was Ellyne Tong Siew Hua with 1,340 points. Venissa Ugun was third with 1,020 points.

For the women’s amateur category, Lizawait Abdullah  was the winner scoring 1,260 points,  with Nurul Pasihah in second place (1,210 points)  and Veronica Pating with 620 points in third spot.

Kelab Menyumpit Sibu chairman Mingat Bakil gave away the prizes to the winners.
