KUCHING: Search and Rescue (SAR) personnel have found the remains of Jam Jayan in a rubber plantation across the Spak river in Betong yesterday afternoon.
Jam, aged 63 who was suffering from dementia, had escaped from his house at Rumah Anji, Mupuh Baroh Spak, Betong last Saturday.
The SAR team comprising the police, firemen, APM personnel and local villagers had been looking for him since he was reported missing on Sunday.
His remains were found at 3.27pm in a rubber plantation area across the Spak river, about four kilometres from the longhouse.
Police later brought his remains to the Betong Hospital pending further actions.
