LUNDU: The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) has launched a search and rescue (SAR) operation for a missing man at Kampung Stom Muda here.
The department received the report at 8.30am of the missing person identified as Polus Deng, 49.
According to the man’s brother in-law, Polus had rushed out the house shirtless and with a stick in his band towards the forest behind their house.
Firefighters from the Lundu fire station have set up a control centre as they searched for the missing man.
The man was still missing at 5pm yesterday.
