KUCHING: Renowned Hollywood heartthrob Henry Golding has returned to his roots in Sarawak, and he’s wasting no time savouring the beloved local dishes close to his heart.

He took to Instagram yesterday morning to express his excitement with fans.

In a post that swiftly garnered over 57,000 likes, the 36-year-old actor shared a photo of himself, casually dressed in a singlet, enjoying a bowl of delectable red ‘kolo mee’ and a refreshing glass of ‘milo peng’ at Chong Choon Cafe on Abell Road.

The caption simply said, “If you know… you know,” accompanied by a Malaysian flag emoji.

Fans wasted no time in extending warm welcomes and showing their admiration for his indulgence in local cuisine.

“Yummy Malaysian food! Welcome home!” one comment exclaimed.

Miss World Malaysia Larissa Ping enthusiastically welcomed him back, saying, “Ayyyy! Welcome home!”

A third comment affectionately said, “Pulai Sarawak. Makai kolo mee ktai.”

Golding, who rose to international fame for his acting talent, became widely recognised for his role in the 2018 hit film ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ and has since starred in several other notable movies.
