SIBU: Discussions to form an alliance or pact between opposition parties in Sarawak are among the important issues during Sarawak Democratic Action Party (DAP) committee meeting this Sunday (May 15).

Sarawak DAP deputy chairman Alice Lau said the meeting would be held in Miri.

“DAP will also discuss the cooperation made between Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) and Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK), which they announced for the upcoming 15th General Election (GE15),” she said on Wednesday (May 11).

Lau said she could not elaborate further on the matter as they had not discussed it in detail.

Meanwhile, PSB and PBK held a meeting on Sunday (May 8) to discuss the allocation of seats between them for GE15.

In a joint statement, both parties said they would sign a memorandum of understanding soon to avoid a clash of seats.

During a DAP press conference on May 7, Lau said the date of the second round of talks between Sarawak DAP and PSB to establish cooperation had yet to be decided.
