Sarawak Heritage Ordinance 2019 roadshow launch on June 29

KUCHING: The Sarawak Museum Department will launch the Sarawak Heritage Ordinance 2019 roadshow on June 29 at Imperial Hotel, Miri.

The ceremony will be officiated by Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew.

“The roadshow is aimed at explaining the importance of the implementation of the Sarawak Heritage Ordinance  2019.

“In addition, it is also to raise awareness and cultivate community interest in the preservation and conservation of heritage in Sarawak.

“It will provide exposure related to proper procedures with regard to heritage management in Sarawak,” the department said today.

The roadshow will feature speakers such as Sarawak Museum Department deputy director Dayang Morzanah Awang Haddy, Collection Section head Dora Jok and Conservation Section head Nicholas Daby Henry Atie.
