KUCHING: The Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports in collaboration with the Sarawak Tourism Federation (STF) had put in place the prestigious Sarawak Hornbill Tourism Awards since 2001 to give appreciation and recognition to all tourism players who contribute excellent services, and products in Sarawak in the development and to create a culture of excellence, creativity, quality services and best practice in the promotion of Sarawak Tourism Destination
Under this series, this year, the Hornbill Tourism Awards will be staged with a memorable Sarawak Hornbill Tourism Awards 2017 Gala Night in November 2017.
Nominations are now in progress from 15 March 2017 with the closing on 30 June 2017 covering the following categories : –
Outstanding Hotel & Accommodation Providers, Outstanding Destination Management Companies, Outstanding Tourist Guides, Outstanding Food Outlets, Outstanding Cottage Industries Contribution, Outstanding Transport Contribution, Outstanding Media Contributions, Outstanding Tourism Attractions and Events, and Hornbill Special (Top) Award.
Exciting Award prizes of memorable trophies, cash incentives and marketing incentives await the winners of all the categories to be presented by the Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Open together with the Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports.
