Sarawak Indian Society elects new office bearers

SARAWAK Indian Society President Strimari Rajamanikan (5th left) leads his committee members to hold a social dialogue with Kuching Indian Association committee recently.

KUCHING: Sarawak Indian Society held its Triennial General Meeting (TGM) on 4 February, 2017 and elected its new office bearers, said a press release yesterday.

The new office bearers include its President Strimari Rajamanikan; Deputy President (Karambir Singh Honey as Deputy President who also represents Miri. The  Vice Presidents are Manogran Krishnensamy (from Sibu), Gunasekaran Palang (representing Bintulu) and Ramachandran Ramasamy who is a representative from Kuching.

The others in the lineup include Honorary Secretary (Nuriani Abdullah@Santi Ayasamy); Assistant Honorary Secretary (Mariappan Nagappan); Honorary Treasurer (Ramachandran Rajaratnam); Assistant Honorary Treasurer (Stridevi Strimari) and  committee members (Striprabu Strimari, P.K. Venu and Thiagarajan Ganapathy).

Meanwhile, on 25 February, 2017 the newly elected President Strimari Rajamanikan, led his committee members to hold a social dialogue with Kuching Indian Association Committee led by its President Nadison Ratnam at the Indian Association Kuching hall conference room.

The objective of the dialogue was to enhance unity, cooperation and to work together as one community for the betterment and development of the Indian community concluded the press statement.
