KUCHING: The Nanyang Wushu Federation of Sarawak clinched success at the 20th World Open Kung Fu Championship held in Perugia, Italy, from May 17 to 19 representing Malaysia.
The Sarawak team, comprising Prof Dr Song Swee Hee and Dr Yeo Liew Yian, secured an impressive haul of accolades, including the prestigious Best Master Trophies, three gold medals, and one bronze medal.
The event, hosted at Palasport Barton, saw participation from other countries including Armenia, Mexico, France, Spain, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Italy, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Morocco, Hungary, Slovenia, and Lebanon.
This significant achievement highlighted the exceptional talent and dedication of the Sarawak contestants as well as bringing pride to both Sarawak and Malaysia on the international stage.
