KUCHING: Sarawak will grow to be the richest state if Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) continues to govern it.

“Sarawak does not empty its reserves coffer. We may spend part of it, otherwise much of our spending is from revenue generated from new sources of income,” said Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep yesterday.

“Revenue from export sales on oil and gas is already RM3.8 billion, and why the need for this RM11 billion is to leapfrog Sarawak development, especially on basic infrastructure like roads, water and electricity. Rural Sarawak badly needs this,” he pointed out.

“No one is so foolish or arrogant to be spending without looking at our income.

“The way the Finance Minister said it, what kind of economics is that?” Henry asked.

He said there is no two ways about it, but that if Pakatan Harapan (PH) should take over Sarawak, it would drain Sarawak of her reserves and natural wealth.
