MUKAH: Youth are rallying behind the proposal to establish a Sarawak Youth Council.
Sarawak Youth MP Mohd Helmi Zamil said the council will play a crucial role in promoting active youth involvement.
“This initiative can spark more interest among our youth, encouraging them to engage and understand our state’s progress,” he told Suara Sarawak recently.
Furthermore, Helmi emphasised the council’s potential to empower the younger generation by offering a platform for them to express their opinions, brainstorm, and play a part in Sarawak’s growth.
According to Helmi, now is the ideal moment for youth leadership to shine and bring fresh perspectives.
“Nationally, we already have the Malaysian Youth Parliament Programme, spearheaded by the Ministry of Youth and Sports,” he added.
