KUALA LUMPUR: Fifty-three Sarawakian families, who were affected by flash floods in Peninsular Malaysia, have been given assistance.

This was in line with the government’s continuous efforts to assist flood victims by giving basic necessities, including mattresses, pillows and blankets.

The items were contributed by federal Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof and, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.

The initiative was done in collaboration with the Sarawak-Kuala Lumpur Communications Office (PSKL/Rumah Sarawak), Dayak Transformation Association and Sarawak Volunteers.

According to a Rumah Sarawak statement here on Monday (Jan 24), the aid recipients were Sarawakians living in Sri Muda Section 25, Bukit Changgang, Klang, Kampung Melayu Subang and Balakong areas.
