KUCHING: A political observer said Sarawakians must remain politically united and economically resilient to face the challenging future, and for Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) to safeguard the state’s interest.

“Politically united in GPS is one thing but using that unity for the Sarawak economic development is another.

“Recognising this, I can see that Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has vigorously sought out bold ideas and strategies for new industries and initiatives,” Datuk Peter Minos said in a press statement.

Minos said Sarawakians make play their part too instead of leaving it to Abang Johari.

“First, the people must accept new changes and new industries with an open heart, and second they should also contribute their part wherever possible.

“Third, keep up the resilience and persistence, especially if faced with obstacles along the way,” he added.

He then said that a successful economic progress will ensure a fine future for Sarawak and its people.
