KUCHING: Make Sarawak’s voice louder in the parliament by ensuring Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) win all 31 seats it contests in the forthcoming 15th general election (GE15).

“In this upcoming election, Sarawakians should vote for GPS candidates,” said Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Batu Lintang Youth Chief Liew Leong Yee.
He said Sarawak was now on track to generating higher incomes for Sarawakians.
“Sarawakians must protect Sarawak so that it’s not controlled by West Malaysian political parties.

“Since Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg took over the helm of the state government, Sarawak’s development and income have been greatly improved. Sarawak will not go bankrupt under GPS’ rule, as claimed by Lim Guan Eng, former Finance Minister of the Pakatan Harapan government,” Liew said in a press statement yesterday.

He added the Sarawak government had proven by actions and facts that the state had high-quality leaders to lead Sarawak and explore more economic sources to make it greater.

“During the movement control order, the Sarawak government launched Bantuan Khas Sarawakku Sayang (BKSS) to assist the people of the state. It was the only one in Malaysia with this initiative. From there, we can see the GPS government always cares about Sarawakians.

“I am confident that the Sarawak government will lead Sarawak to claim its rights from political parties in West Malaysia,” he added.

Liew said the Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders made troubles for Sarawak when they led the federal government.

“Many projects in Sarawak were suspended during the PH time. What made us even angrier was what they promised every Sarawakian would get RM 2,000 a year but when they became government, they made no mention of it,” he said.

Liew added the GPS government had successfully obtained 5 per cent of the petro sales tax, allowing Sarawak to increase its income for the benefit of all Sarawakians.

“The premier also said that he expected every Sarawakian to enjoy free education in the future,” he said.
