MIRI: The Sarawak’s Pride Project Showcase maze will be on display at the Miri City Fan Amphitheatre from today until Oct 13.

It is held in conjunction with the state-level celebration of Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud’s 83rd birthday which is to be held here.

This will be the fifth venue after the most recent showcase done at Curtin University from Oct 3-7.

The display is a part of the ongoing showcase of the ‘Sarawak’s Pride — Most Number of Unity Short Stories Project’ which was launched on Feb 12 to collect the most number of unity short stories from Sarawak as an endeavour to showcase the intangible
spirit of unity, the pride of Sarawak.

This project showcase at Miri City Fan Amphitheatre will display 138 stories that have been submitted by
members of the public mainly from the northern region, (divisions of Miri — 55 stories, Bintulu, and Limbang) along with selected stories from other divisions as well as the
prize-winning stories.

This project maze was launched in Kuching on Aug 3 this year and since then the showcase maze was also
set-up in Sarikei from Aug 30 to Sept 9 and in Sibu from Sept 13-22.

Members of the public are still welcome to share and submit their short stories on unity to help the organisers achieve the record number of a 1,000 stories for the Malaysia Book of Records.
