BETONG: The conditional movement control order (CMCO) standard operating procedure (SOP), which was updated on Monday (April 26), clarifies that Sarikei Division and Betong Division are no longer in the same zone.

Previously, Sarikei and Betong were under Sarikei Zone.

Following the changes, effective from Monday until May 10, any movement between the two is not allowed unless with police permit, for emergency reasons, official duties or under essential services.

Movement within Betong Division such as between districts within it does not require police permit.

However, if people want to leave Betong Zone, for example to Sarikei, they need a permit.

Additional SOPs for Betong Zone included operations of offices and business premises from 6am to 7pm.

No dine-in for restaurants and eateries, only takeaways, drive-through and cash on delivery.

Activities that are not allowed in Betong Zone are sports activities, leisure, massage services, spa and reflexology, karaoke including family karaoke.

In addition, social events such as feasts, wedding ceremonies, wedding and engagement ceremonies, reception ceremonies, prayers for peace, tahlil, birthday celebrations, reunions, retirement ceremonies and so on are not allowed.
