Sarikei PPV gets vital sign monitor, thermometers

KUCHING: Tanjung Manis MP Yusuf Abdul Wahab donated a vital sign monitor and three forehead thermometers to the Sarikei Civic Centre vaccination centre (PPV).

The donations were presented during his visit to the PPV on Tuesday.

“This is to facilitate and smoothen the vaccination process at the PPV,” he said.

At the same time, Yusuf also expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the vaccine rollout in the Sarikei division.

During the visit, he was briefed on the vaccination programme in Sarikei by health officer Dr Emmanuel Joseph Fong Tsung.

“The PPV administered 1,234 doses of Covid-19 vaccine on Tuesday,” he said.

Also present during the visit to the PPV were Sarikei Division Resident Felicia Tan Ya Hua, Sarikei District Officer Christopher Ranggau Unting and community leader Temenggung Lau Hieng Ping.

Meanwhile, during a visit to the Balai Sare health clinic PPV on the same day, Yusuf also presented four sets of canopies, as well as food and drinks to the frontliners at the centre.

He was also briefed on the vaccination progress by the clinic’s assistant health officer Saging Tigong.

A total of 120 individuals were inoculated at the Balai Sare health clinic PPV on Tuesday.
