KUCHING: Telecommunication issues in Long Semadoh on July 13 were due to technical problems on the MEASAT-3 satellite.

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) explained in its statement that efforts to repair the towers affected by the disruption on the MEASAT-3 satellite throughout the country are being actively carried out by MEASAT itself and related service providers.

“Similarly, repair works in more than 40 other areas in Sarawak are in full swing.

“Repair works are expected to be completed in the first week of August this year,” it said in its statement today (July 16).
