MAKKAH: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority has stepped up its preparations for the Haj season this year through a comprehensive operational plan aimed at providing highest quality emergency services to pilgrims, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
SPA reported that more than 36 permanent relief centres and 89 temporary centres along with more than 2,700 employees in all emergency specialties supported by 370 ambulances equipped with the latest technology and medical equipment, have been allocated by the authority.
“These emergency medical services are located in centres in Makkah, the Grand Mosque, Madinah, Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah,” the SPA was quoted as saying.
The news agency reported that the authority has allocated a full range of mechanised support and fully equipped manpower to benefit from the plans for the season, emergency situations or disasters, including 66 technicians, specialists, more than 25 ambulances and other vehicles. – Bernama
