KUCHING: Council Members of the Sarawak Business Federation (SBF) led by its President, Datuk Abang Haji Abdul Karim Tun Abang Haji Openg recently paid a courtesy call on the   State Secretary, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Mohd Morshidi bin Abdul Ghani at Wisma Bapa Malaysia. 

“It was a fruitful and successful meeting,” said   Karim. 

He said the council members briefed   Morshidi on the structure of the newly formed federation as well as its objectives. 

SBF also unveiled its plan to introduce the Chief Minister’s Industry Excellence Award 2017 (CMIEA), which will be a signature event that sees participation by both the federal and state governments. 

“It is an award which will give due recognition to the corporate sector which is the main engine of growth in developing the state,” added   Karim.

Morshidi hoped that SBF could further complement the government in its transformation initiatives to drive Sarawak towards a developed state.
