SARIKEI: Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Sarikei Baru on Sunday sold its cooperative packages at a drive-through.

“All packages have been prepared in advance by the school cooperative to meet the needs of students in the 2021 session,” explained the principal, Saini Bakar.

He explained that the sales of the cooperative packages using drive-through involved Form One to Five students and started as early as 7.30am until 12.30pm.

“Parents were instructed to come in stages according to the set schedule.

“They received the packages by driving through two locations, namely the canteen and the school foyer.

“Alhamdulillah, the parents provided very good support and the sale of the cooperative packages went smoothly according to schedule.

“We thought this was best and in line with the new norm to avoid congestion at school because we are still not allowed to gather in large numbers,” Saini told Suara Sarawak on Sunday (Jan 31).

It is believed the cooperative managed to collect RM53,965.50 from the sales of the packages.
