BETONG: The Betong Voctech Alumni Association intends to gather as many of its former students as possible here to contribute to the school.
Its president, Abdul Rahim Junaidi, said its former students should remember the place from where they once gained their knowledge.
He said the association in collaboration with the Psychology and Career Unit of the Betong Vocational College (KV) planned to hold a Betong Voctech Alumni Dinner 2020.
“To date, the association has been actively gathering former students, while also being a platform to raise funds to be donated to schools,” he said yesterday.
The reunion will also allow former students to visit their former school to meet teachers and old friends.
“Therefore, I invite all former Voctech students to spend some time with us on Mar 28 to celebrate the Betong Voctech Alumni Dinner 2020 with the theme ‘Stylo’ at the Sri Kenanga Hall.
“We are aiming to sell 30 tables. Perhaps in the future, we can raise funds to help KV Betong because our association receives less funding compared to the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG),” he said.
“Works Minister Baru Bian will be invited to officiate at the dinner,” he added.
KV Betong was originally known as Sekolah Menengah Vokasional (SMV) Betong which was established in Bukit Bangat and was inaugurated on Sep 13, 1991.
