School needs bigger space, better facilities

KUCHING: St. Joseph’s Private School hopes to have a new building soon to create more space for future students to enjoy better facilities.

In the latest fundraising effort, the school’s Rhythm of Colour Concert was held for two nights from Friday to Saturday (August 5 and 6). It managed to collect a total of RM51,555.97, and is part of the funds for the construction of a new building and new facilities.

During the Rhythm of Colour Concert there were 18 performances by the students including by guest artiste At Adau.

Its final night succeeded in attracting an audience of 300 comprising parents, students and teachers. All were enthralled by the different types of performances including Chinese Music Ensemble by Chinese Music Club, SJPSS Chamber Choir, SJPSS Music Band, Pinc Guava, SJFS String Ensemble and SJFS Concert Band and a skit entitled Reunion: Asian Family by the Chinese Language Club.

Also present at the event was Deputy Premier Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, CEO of St. Joseph Family of Schools, Christopher Chua Boon Hua and Principal of St Joseph’s Private Secondary School, Father Stanley Goh.
