MIRI: SJKC Chung San has received an annual grant to upgrade its facilities to improve the learning environment.

Senadin assemblyman Datuk Lee Kim Shin presented the grant to SJKC Chung San School Board chairman, Chai Ming Kian, when he visited the school on Friday (Aug 27).

One of the facilities provided to the school was a hand washing basin that could be used by 24 people at a time.

Members of the school board thanked Lee, who is also Transport Minister, for his help.

Also present during the visit were SJKC Chung San Management Board chairman Chai Ming Kian, the school’s headmaster Choo Chong Lok; and Kapitan Jee Kee Hiong.

Lee also visited Masjid Darul Falah in Kampung Lembah Hijau to review the progress of the car park resurfacing project.

The car park upgrading project was proposed by the Masjid Darul Falah Management Committee earlier this year.

The upgraded car park will be able to accommodate more than 10 vehicles, especially during prayer time.
