KAPIT: An administration block of Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Amang here caught fire last Sunday (Apr 4).
Kapit fire chief Erwandy Tugor said a call on the incident was received by the fire department at 4.39pm.
Upon firemen’s arrival, the block was already in flames.
“The fire was extinguished at 4.50pm and had caused 10 percent damage to the ceiling,” Erwandy said, adding that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.
No casualties were reported during the incident and losses incurred are still under investigation.
