MIRI: Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) welcomes the government’s decision to shut down schools starting Monday (Nov 9) until January 20 next year, following a spike in Covid-19 cases.
Its state deputy commissioner Muhtar Suhaili said PAS has always been supportive of the government’s efforts in preventing further spread of Covid-19.
“This move, I believe is to curb the transmission of Covid-19 pandemic.
“The safety of the students and teachers is always a major consideration in this matter,” he said.
He encouraged the schools and students to do home-base and creative learning.
