Schools receive funds for upgrading

SARIKEI: Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Siung Hua and SJKC Minar here received an allocation amounting to RM53,000 each to upgrade and repair their infrastructures.

Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii said the fund has been allocated under the rural transformation programme (RTP).

Huang has been very interested in the development of education since becoming the representative of the Repok constituency.

He sought to allocate to upgrade basic facilities to improve the learning environment.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for both schools said the schools had changed a lot since Huang became the representative of the constituency.

 “I also come from a poor family. Therefore, I really understand the difficulties and problems faced by the schools and will provide assistance to each of them,” he said.
