KUCHING: The Scouts Association of Malaysian Sarawak Branch on Friday cooked and distributed ‘bubur lambuk’ (savoury porridge) to staff on duty in conjunction with Ramadan.

A spokesperson of the programme, Abang Zulfikar Abang Zaini, said in a statement that the communal activity at the Scout Headquarters was part of a religious and community programme funded by various parties.

“The ‘bubur lambuk’ was distributed to the staff of Batu Lintang Fire Station, Petra Jaya Fire Station, Batu Lintang Campus Teacher Education Institute trainee teachers, Anjung Kasih, Masjid Darul Barakah BDC, and SMK Datuk Patinggi Haji Abdul Gapor Hostel,” said the statement.

The activity was participated by all the commissioners, leaders and rover scouts who broke their fast and performed prayers at the Scout headquarters conference hall.

According to the statement, the programme and prayers were also attended by Sarawak’s Chief Scout Commissioner and Senior Scout Commissioners, Captain Zainuddin Tan Seri Hamdan
