Screening centre at stadium to be closed

SIBU: Following the implementation of the movement control order (MCO) in Sibu Division, the Covid-19 screening centre at the Sibu Indoor Stadium will be closed effective Jan 16 in order to prevent the public from gathering.

The Sibu Division Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said, however, the drive-through screening centre  at  the Sarawak State Library,  Sibu was still operating and for screening of those in close contact with positive cases.

It said the screening centre will be open from Monday to Saturday at 9am to 1pm and it will be closed on Sunday.

The committee said for those who were in close contact with a Covid-19 positive patient or experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, cold or sore throat, they must come forward for screening at Lanang Health Clinic or Sibu Jaya Health Clinic.

The clinics will operate from Monday to Thursday at 8am to 1pm and will resume operation at 2pm to 4pm.

On Friday, it will open from 8am to 11.45am and resume operation at 2.15pm to 4pm, while on Saturday, it will operate from 9am to 12 noon and closed on Sunday.
