SIBU: Residents of Sibu Jaya flats are urged to come forward for Covid-19 swab test at their compound tomorrow.

Sibu Rural District Council chairman Sempurai Petrus Ngelai said, the test is important to detect those who have been infected by Covid-19, especially those who are asymptomatic.

“I call upon all flat residents to come out and do the screening test following the increase in the number of positive Covid-19 cases in Sibu,” he said when contacted today.

According to him, this is the only way to break the chain of infection and to identify those who have been infected, especially those who do not show any symptoms.

Sempurai reiterated that a massive Covid-19 screening test will be held in the open space near the Sibu Jaya flats from 9am to noon.

“For those who come to undergo the test, please follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) strictly and follow the police instructions at all times at the venue,” he advised.
