It is getting easier to travel but certain restrictions remain due to lingering fears of the pandemic.

KUCHING: Sarawakians and non-Sarawakians as well as non-Malaysians travelling within Malaysia do not need to apply via EnterSarawak to enter the state.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) stated this in its standard operating procedure (SOP) to enter Sarawak, effective Jan 25.

It said Sarawakians and non-Sarawakians who have completed their vaccinations only need to fill in the e-Health Declaration Form (eHDF).

“Non-Malaysians who have also completed their vaccination need to fill in the eHDF form, but must be in the country more than eight days.

“All of them are required to show their completed Covid-19 vaccination status and identity card to the airline’s ticket counter, airport security and before boarding,” it stated.

Malaysians and Sarawakians who have incomplete vaccination or are not vaccinated would need to apply for EnterSarawak, fill in the eHDF form and be in quarantine for 10 days.

They also need to bring and submit their identity card and medical letter from a health officer.

Foreigners who have incomplete vaccination or not vaccinated are not allowed to enter the state.

“In addition, those with history from overseas 14 days within arrival in Malaysia, need to apply through EnterSarawak and fill in the eHDF.

“They need to show their vaccination certificate, release order, negative rt-PCR test result valid for two days, overseas and domestic flight ticket and discharge note for post-positive Covid-19),” it added.
