SIMUNJAN: A search-and-rescue (SAR) operation for a 75-year-old man who was reported missing in Kampung Gawang here was called a halt today (Feb 17).
The state Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), in a statement, said the victim, identified as Layang Sula, had gone missing on Tuesday (Feb 16) after he failed to return home in over 24 hours after going to his farm in Kampung Gawang.
The incident was reported to Bomba at 11.46am this morning (Feb 17).
“An SAR operation was launched this afternoon (Feb 17) by Simunjan Bomba.
“No clues were found as of 4.15pm and the operation has been postponed till tomorrow (Feb 18),” it said.
