BINTULU: The search and rescue operation (SAR) for a car that plunged into a river in Sebauh on the night November 30 was halted at 4.40pm today due to bad weather and will resume tomorrow.

It is not immediately known how many passengers were trapped inside the car when it plunged into the Kemena River that night.

Divers from the Fire and Rescue Department together with the Marine Police were at the scene for the underwater search for the victims.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department operations centre (PGO) four divers did their search near the spot where the car was located.
