SEBUYAU: A total of 48 recipients comprising Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs), Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs), and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Sebuyau received grants for Minor Rural Projects (MRPs) on Monday (Feb 15).

Assistant Minister of Infrastructure and Ports Development Datuk Julaihi Narawi, who is also Sebuyau assemblyman, said these channelled funds are aimed at helping these organisations carry out beneficial activities for the local community.

“The government is always concerned about the needs of associations, JKKKs, and NGOs to carry out activities as planned,” he said.

According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) report, he said this at the Sarawak government MRP grant presentation ceremony at Kampung Sampat Sebangan Community Hall on Monday (Feb 15).

He hoped all recipients would make full use of the funds provided by carrying out activities such as welfare programmes in their respective villages.

At the ceremony, Julaihi also presented computer sets to SJK Chung Hua Sebangan.
