KUCHING: Sarawak recorded zero Covid-19 case on Sunday (Nov 22), bringing the cumulative tally of cases to remain at 1,055.

This was the second consecutive day of zero case reported in the state after reporting two cases on Friday.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) acting chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing said there were five new recovery and discharged cases from Sarawak General Hospital (three) and Miri Hospital (two).

“This brings the number of recoveries and discharged cases to 977 or 92.61 percent,” he said at a daily Covid-19 update press conference on Sunday (Nov 22).

Apart from that, there is a total of 59 cases that are still receiving treatment at hospitals — 53 in isolation wards at Sarawak General Hospital and six in Miri Hospital.

Meanwhile, 38 new person-under-investigation (PUI) cases were reported and two are awaiting lab test results.

Sarawak still has six active clusters— Jalan Abell, Baki, Greenhill, Wisma Saberkas, Seladah, and Besi.

Kuching is a red zone at present, while Miri and Lawas are yellow zones.
