SELANGAU: Entries are now open for young women to vie for the Ratu Ngepan Iban Selangau Pegari title in conjunction with the Selangau Festival this year.
The pageant will take place on the last night of the celebration on July 30.
Selangau Festival chairman Christopher Kusa said it is open to all girls for a participation fee of RM100. The closing date for entries is July 27.
He said the top placed Kumang title winner will receive a cash prize of RM3,000.
“Second placed Lulong title offers RM2,000 and the third or Selinggar Matahari title will fetch RM1,000.
“The fourth and fifth placed winners will receive a cash prize of RM500 and the sixth to tenth placed winners will receive RM350.
Apart from that, a futsal competition jointly organised by the Selangau District Office is open to the public for a fee of RM100.
The closing date for entries is July 20.
The competition will take place at the Selangau District Office Futsal Court on July 28-29.
