Serba Dinamik bags RM251 million contract in Qatar, six local jobs

KUALA LUMPUR: Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd (SDHB) has secured an operations and maintenance (O&M) contract in Qatar with an estimated value of RM250.62 million as well as six Malaysia-based contracts with no specific value attached.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, it said wholly-owned subsidiary Serba Dinamik International Ltd had entered into a contract with Pavilion Qatar Engineering Co WLL for the repair, overhaul and maintenance of pumps, compressors, gearboxes and other associated rotating equipment.

The contract is for three years, with a one-year extension option.

Meanwhile, another SDHB unit, Serba Dinamik Sdn Bhd (SDSB), has secured one engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract and five O&M contracts with no exact value.

The EPCC contract was given by Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) while the O&M contracts were from Petronas Chemicals Fertiliser Sabah Sdn Bhd, Malaysia Refining Company Sdn Bhd, Malaysia LNG Sdn Bhd, Kebabangan Petroleum Operating Company sdn Bhd and PC Myanmar (Hong Kong) Ltd.

“The O&M contracts (clinched by SDSB) have no specific value as the contracts are on a call-out basis, whereby the work orders will be awarded at the discretion of the clients based on its activities schedules and rates throughout the duration of the contracts,” SDHB said.

The contracts were expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2019, it added. – Bernama
